San Leandro, CA - Access Hardware Supply recently augmented its extensive product line with the 8100 Series Heavy Duty Primary Mortise Locksets from ILCO/Unicanâ. The 8100 Series incorporates two advantages into one package. It provides the durability and dependability of a mechanical pushbutton lock as well as the security of a deadbolt with extra operational functions.

The Lockout feature deactivates the combination function while the Passage feature enables entry not requiring an access code. Activation of these functions is implemented from the interior with a thumbturn or key. A Combination function can be easily and specifically programmed. There is also a Mechanical Key Override
available on the 8100 Series. This application is intended for use in case of emergency, for maintaining or initiating a master keyed security system. This override allows for limited access to security-sensitive indoor and outdoor locations that have a high personnel turnover rate such as hospitals, dormitories, or employee entrances. An ADA-compliant lever handle also makes the 8100 Series an ideal choice for use in apartment buildings, universities, police stations, hospitals and airports. The heavy-duty mortise lock housing conforms to ANSI, 156.9 Grade 1 code, while the anti-friction latch meets or exceeds UL/ULC 3-hour fire rating for "A" labeled doors. An important aspect of the 8100 Series lever lock system is it allows free egress at all times.

Although door handing is pre-assembled at the factory, a right hand or left hand device can be ordered to accommodate the desired handing. Another benefit of the 8100 Series lockset is that it is available in "Chiara", Bright Brass, Antique Brass and Satin Chrome finishes that adapt to building style with aesthetic appeal.
