The dual voltage solenoid in the 5100 has four wires, allowing the installer to configure the strike for either 12 or 24 volt DC at the job site. In addition, every strike utilizes an adjustable keeper, which can be moved up to 1/8" horizontally. This feature enables the installer to adjust the strike in applications where the door and frame are misaligned or if weather stripping causes pressure on the strike.

The 5100 Electric Strike is solidly constructed, with a corrosion-resistant design and internal steel components. The high density steel keeper can withstand over 1300 lbs. of force and the faceplates are stamped steel, not aluminum, for better strength. The non-handed, tamper-resistant design of the 5100 meets the UL 1034 Burglary Listing and has been tested to over one million cycles.
